I can often be found in the garage working on my next DIY project or creating with my kids and husband who are a daily inspiration and the "why" behind what I do. An avid baker, I am often making a new bread recipe, baking homemade cinnamon rolls, or desperately trying to drink the rest of my coffee while it's hot. My mission? To help others create and cultivate a home that they love!

Catherine

Hey, I'm

Giving you a sneak peek ahead of the final reveal…

This week was messy…kind of. I had to literally wash everything anyhow, but this was a smidge earlier than I had planned. All the stars aligned and I just decided to rip off the band-aid and go ahead and potty train my son while everything was being washed that way it would ALL be fresh for the reveal.

I found the silver lining!

This week, I began the preparations for the final reveal. I also finalized the plans for my coffee table build that would ensure the most structural integrity. I plugged it in from SketchUp to the rendering software I use and wow…I’m in LOVE.

I have dreams of making these to sell, so if you love it too, let me know!

I want to get the kids involved more with this project, so I used my paints from a recent presentation from Fireclay tile to create some watercolor artwork pieces. My daughter loves to paint, and my son likes to make messes so it kind of works out in the end

I also want to make some line art (which is super “in” these days) because it’s really fun and there aren’t really any rules. I think I speak for a lot of us when I say we could all use some stress relief. All you need is a brush and some paint!

I had planned to caulk the existing baseboards in the living room as well, but the same flooring is also in our dining room and is gapping and chipping in several areas. The flooring was installed by the previous owner and it’s very low-quality material. I don’t like waste, so I’m currently researching new flooring options that are durable for our lifestyle.

Here’s a look at the table in a rendering below: I removed the couch to see the table better

Here’s what’s on my running checklist:

✅Order curtain rod & install

✅Ordered wall clock, pillow covers and inserts from IKEA DONE

✅Wall color DONE

✅Window trim DONE

✅ IKEA Satsuma plant stand (it came back in stock!)

✅ Make and install DIY blanket ladder

✅ Get pillow inserts and covers to add some Hygge to existing sofa

✅ Install wall clock

✅ DIY Coffee table plans

✅ New curtains in white installed on clip rings

⬜ Make coffee table

⬜ New rug? Possibly use existing Ruggable cover but I found a new Ruggable I love

⬜ Decorate shelves

⬜ Caulk and paint baseboards (yeah, that’s not happening because the current flooring is junk)

⬜ Install stools and new storage baskets

⬜ Add soft & cozy lighting for the shelving wall

✅ Up the cozy and Hygge with new pillows and throws

✅ Wash all the rugs and couch covers

There’s still much to do, but I’m so excited to share the reveal in the coming weeks!

Subscribe below so you get the notification right in your inbox – I’d love to have you!

See you again soon! Final reveals run from November 12th – 29th.

xo, Catherine
